We do not charge any fees to restaurants to sign up for our program. By signing up to be a My Hot Lunchbox restaurant partner, you’ll get weekly order exposure to the best customers (kids!), an organized system to manage those orders, and unparalleled restaurant support for free!
Whatever price we negotiate with your restaurant is the price you’ll be paid in full for each order. We do ask for a slight discount on in-store pricing so that we are able to add a small percentage to the price of the meals. Our end goal is to make the meal cost to parents as close to your restaurant’s in-store pricing as possible.
Our staff works with you to curate a menu that is specialized for you and your restaurant. We pick out kid and staff-friendly meals to ensure both quality and popularity.
Parents and staff members order through our website. We facilitate all payment processing, technical support, and customer support. Order reports are automatically generated each day. You will be able to pull the reports through our online ordering system after 12:00 PM (noon) the day before your delivery.
We ask that all meals be packaged individually, labeled with the student’s name, and sorted in bags by teacher and/or grade before being delivered to the school. Upon delivery, the school will be responsible for student lunch distribution.
Our restaurant partners deliver the meals directly to the school. This cuts out the middle man and the extra costs associated with a delivery service, and gives you more exposure to your community!
We have three payment options to choose from:
- Keep our credit card on file and run it after the delivery
- Direct deposit after each delivery
- Monthly direct deposit
My Hot Lunchbox collects money from the customers through our ordering platform and then pays each restaurant partner through the payment method selected. We do not ask for any gift cards, donations, etc. from our restaurant partners for these orders.
Lunch lineups are set by ordering period (ex: school semesters or camp sessions). We provide our organizations the option to swap vendors each ordering period to offer more variety. Once your restaurant is matched with an organization, your restaurant is guaranteed deliveries for that organization through the end of that ordering period, with the potential to continue.
Yes! We ask our restaurant partners to keep the same menu and pricing throughout each ordering period but allow them to make updates twice a year during winter and summer breaks. This gives our customers the flexibility to order ahead while ensuring your restaurant maintains profitability with price increases throughout the year.
